Jakhiya seeds grown and dried in the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand.The alternative form of cumin, Pahadi Jakhiya (Clem viscosa), also known as wild mustard or dog mustard, is preferred over cumin. Pahadi Jakhiya is used to treat fever, inflammation, liver diseases, bronchitis and diarrhea. Pahadi Jakhiya of Uttarakhand is a crunchy hill herb. It is the ingredient for most pahadi dishes and is used to temper all types of pahadi dishes.
